The Weekly Science Talk Radio Program

With listeners in over 60 countries worldwide
    Sunday, December 02, 2001
In a previous show we brought you news that Dean Kamen, inventor of the IBOT (a wheelchair that climbs stairs), a portable dialysis machine, as well as many other innovations, is poised to make public his latest creation which has been code named "Ginger". "Ginger" is rumored to be some kind of personal transportation device akin to a scooter that uses an ultra efficient Stirling Engine as it's power source. After Steve Jobs, head of Apple Computers, saw the device he was said to have claimed it would change the world. Kamen is set to unveil to the world "Ginger" on ABC's "Good Morning America" Monday. I am personally hoping for a hover board powered by a Stirling Engine, but i guess a scooter could still be cool...if a personal transportation device is what will be unveiled. For all anyone knows it could be a blender. Full story of Kamen on ABC Monday here.
