Hawking Birthday Video... See Steve Tell Jokes and Get Funky

Welcome to 2002, science fans. The last palindromic year until 2112. Stephen Hawking recently celebrated his 60th birthday, and we here at This Week In Science are carrying on the celebration in his honor all month long. For someone who was told his life was over at the age of 22, that's not a bad run. Hawking recently gave a speech to a crowd gathered at a syposium held in honor of the milestone birthday, and you can view the video here. Though it requires some patience, listening to the full duration of the speech is well worth your time. This is a very funny man, as well as intelligent, and the closest thing to a Jedi Master you're likely going to see on this planet. More on Hawking in the future... stay tuned and thanks for listening.
