Manly Memory???
It has long been thought that estrogen is the key to defense against the effects of Alzheimer's didease.
Recent evidence from the University of Texas-Houston Medical School has shown that testosterone may play as important a role if not more in reducing the development of tau tangles. Tau tangles are bundles of tau protein, which along with plaques of beta-amyloid protein are key characteristics of brains affected by Alzheimer's disease.
Monkeying Around
Primatologists have analysed the sounds made by baboons before, during, and after sex. It seems that the females are a noisy bunch. Read about it

Animal Fashion
Animals are wearing the strangest things these days. Antarctic researchers have fitted
Weddell seals with cameras to get a better view of the world beneath the ice. This has led to new information about relatively undescribed life histories of fish species that are preyed upon by the seals.
In Australia, conservation workers have clothed the
penguins. An oil spill made it impossible for the small fairy penguins to enter the water for daily hunting trips. The oil disables their water impermeable insulating fur. The novel solution to this problem was wool... wool sweaters... little wool sweater for the smallest penguins... in many different color combinations as the sweaters were donated by kniiterd from across the globe.
