    The wave of the future might involve wireless data transfers in forms previously only conceived of in science fiction literature. The Japanese owned companies Nippon Telegraph and Telephone and its subsidiary NTT DoCoMo have developed a method of transferring data based solely on the conductive properties of peoples' skin and clothing. The technology will allow PDA users to transfer up to 10 megabits of data per second using only skin contact. The manufacturers believe that data transfer of this sort will solve several of the problems related to maintaining data security on wireless systems. Read more at New Scientist.
