    Happy To Drink Your Coffee

The one thing I kept looking forward to while away in Europe was a great big mug of coffee. The little espressos just don't fit the bill for some reason. Aside from that, the European vacation was filled with lots of old buildings and memorials to dead people. I found science in a French magazine, La Science et La Vie (Science and Life).

Today on the show we had a great time bouncing between subjects. We started with water on the moon and Mars. Then, moved on to the strange diet of Justin's Great tits, the ratchet of evolution, finding super-heavy elements, detecting dark matter and WIMPS, the link between creative and crazy, how to farm in the desert, and vaginal self-esteem.

We enjoyed a musical interlude thanks to Carl Sagan. And, would like to invite you all to enter the Year of Science Zine-a-thon Contest. That's right! Make a Zine for science and win a prize. Step right up...

Music on the show was by Unbalanced Wheel, They Might Be Giants, Jake Mann, and the Gifted Apes.

    Listen to it all here.

This month the TWIS Bookclub is reading Ray Kurzweil's "The Singularity is Near". Check it out:
