As Fickle As The Moon
This week was award week. Be sure to congratulate the winners of the Nobel and Ignobel Prizes. Their work forms the basis for our understanding of the universe, and some pretty darned good technological products to boot.
Nominate TWIS for the annual Podcast Awards, and help us win an award! It's not a Nobel Prize, but hey, it's something.
On the show today, we also discussed DARPA's mind-control projects, making people move in slow-motion, racing cars with sustainability built-in, the BOSS imaging project, new advancements in quantum stability, new glow-in-the-dark mushrooms, how posture can affect your perceptions, a new old human-ish fossil, and much more!
Don't forget to check out the LCROSS moon crashing!
Music on the show was by Unbalanced Wheel, They Might Be Giants, and The Gifted Apes.
Listen to it all here.
Hey! Justin wrote a book. It's called 'Ome'.
Check it out: Let us know what you think and follow us on Twitter: @jacksonfly and @drkikiIf you love us, tell your friends about us. There is nothing better than the feeling of sharing TWIS.
