    Justin,
    Here in NZ there are a few cat-free subdivisions. Have a quick look at http://www.gbict.co.nz/Newsletters/Issue3/IntroPred.htm for some basic info. Although they were started to protect native wildlife, the end result is the same as one of the many ‘interesting’ goals you have of living a cat-free life.
