Dr. Gavin Schmidt is a leading climate scientist at NASA Goddard’s Institute for Space Studies, and is one of the founders of RealClimate.org, which attempts to make some sense out of the madness surrounding global warming. We began this week by defining several of the terms and techniques involved in climate science, and beginning to delve into the complexities of the available data.
