  • Alcor Life Extension Foundation (Cryonics) - Site for major cryonics organization in Scottsdale AZ. Contains a lot of information, including an on-line photo-tour of the building and of the cryonics process.
  • Alcor Life Extension Foundation: United Kingdom Chapter - A detailed look at the growing Alcor chapter in England. The front page looks like Alcor-USA but the content is much different.
  • American Cryonics Society - The oldest Cryonics membership organization; founded in 1969 as the Bay Area Cryonics Society. In Mountain View CA. Offers background information, articles and theories.
  • Anders Sandberg's cryonics page - An extensive list of links to cryonics articles and to European sites related to cryonics.
  • Ben Best's Cryonics Articles - Primarily dealing with technical issues in cryonics.
  • BioPreservation, Inc. - Cryopreservation Services - A series of technical papers on cryopreservation research.
  • Brain Death and Technological Change: Personal Identity, Neural Prostheses and Uploading - A far-seeing but technical paper by James J. Hughes, prepared for the Second International Symposium on Brain Death. Date unclear, but 1996 or later. Includes discussion of cryonics and nanotechnology.
  • Can Cryopreservation Solve the Abortion Problem? - An thoughtful article by Thomas Gramstad which examines the social implications of preserving aborted embryos. From Longevity Report.
  • CryoCare Foundation - Cryonics Services - CryoCare Foundation offers cryonics services. The site includes a good explanation of cryonics, with a large library of articles.
  • Cryonaut - A web-based, user-editable, realtime response, and expandable forum for those interested in cryonics and related subjects. With links to related or sub-forums such as Cryonics Technical Review, Alcor Members' Forum, Suspended Animation, the Singularity, and other topics.
  • CryoNet - Cryonics Mailing List - A free discussion mailing list on cryonics-related issues. Archives include twelve years of Internet discussion.
  • Cryonics - Ralph Merkle's cryonics introduction. Short but requires some knowledge of cryonics already.
  • Cryonics - A slim, but interesting perspective piece on cryonics by Mark Prado, an American living in Thailand. Prints as 2 pages.
  • Cryonics and Cryptography - "Cryonics, Cryptography, and Maximum Likelihood Estimation," a paper by Ralph Merkle, Ph.D.
  • Cryonics Association of Australia - An Interim site describing the resources of Cryonicists in Australia and listing other related sites.
  • Cryonics Europe - A limited site with links to a handful of other sites; but might be useful for people looking for European cryonicists.
  • Cryonics FAQ Overview - Cryonics "Frequently Asked Questions" List from Tim Freeman. Getting dated but still quite good.
  • Cryonics in a Deep Freeze - Newsday article asking why the promise of cryonics hasn't been proven yet. Part of a series on the future. 1999 sometime.
  • Cryonics in Russia - Most of the text is in Russian language. There is an introduction in English.
  • Cryonics Institute: Cryonics Suspension Services - Cryonic suspension services & information. Much of the text is also available in Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese by clicking on the appropriate button. This organization was founded by Robert Ettinger, the "father" of cryonics.
  • The Cryonics Society of Canada - For education and to organize cryonics in Canada. Does not provide cryonics services.
  • Cryonics Survey - The results of a "Survey of Familiarity With and Attitudes Toward Cryonics." December, 1998.
  • Death, on the Rocks - An article on cryonics from SMUG, an on-line magazine. March, 1999.
  • European Cryonics Page - Information for Europeans interested in cryonics. Includes an extensive list of links to other European cryonics sites and a mailing list/forum for Europeans interested in cryonics, plus a large list of articles and discussions. The site and mailing list are in English.
  • The Institute for Neural Cryobiology - A new research project in brain tissue preservation.
  • Life Extension Society - A cryonics public education organization in the Maryland/D.C. area. Not a service provider.
  • Long Life -- The Cryonics Institute E-Newsletter - Free news, updates, and links about the latest scientific, medical, health, anti-aging, and social developments relevant to CI's goal of saving, preserving, and extending human lives.
  • Longevity Report - John DeRivaz's British site for cryonics, life extension, and the future.
  • Lovecraft, Scientific Horror, Alienation, and Cryonics - Possible influences of the works of H.P. Lovecraft, Mary Shelley, and other writers of "scientific horror" on the development of cryonics. An interesting essay by Steven B. Harris, M.D.
  • NanoTechnology Health -- cryonics - A short discussion of how nanotechnology relates to cryonics.
  • New Zealand Cryonics Society - A new organization in New Zealand.
  • The Prometheus Project - A research initiative to produce fully-reversible, long-term suspended animation. Now largely superceded by other projects; but still an interesting site for ideas.
  • The Society for the Recovery of Persons Apparently Dead - A fascinating medical essay about the history of attempts to revive people who appear dead and the relationship of these ideas to cryonics. By Steven B. Harris, M.D.
